
About Our Company
For Country Villa Health Services, commitment to service began in 1969 with just one residential care facility in Los Angeles. Today, Country Villa owns, operates, or manages 50 Healthcare Centers throughout the state of California. We offer complex medical care, rehabilitation, sub-acute care, skilled nursing, Alzheimer's, long-term skilled nursing care, and Assisted Living centers. Additionally, the company's Consulting and Management Services Division has been involved in the start-up of over 20 hospital-based skilled nursing units and currently provides management and consulting services to over 20 freestanding facilities and hospitals.
Our History
1983
Country Villa was the first to be involved in managed healthcare through one of three federally managed care demonstration projects for sub-acute care. This was done in partnership with FHP and St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.
1984
Country Villa opened the first hospital-based skilled nursing facility through a joint partnership with an acute hospital.
1992
Country Villa opened one of the first AIDS units within a skilled nursing facility in California.
1996
Country Villa was the first in Southern California to enter into a Capitated contract for sub-acute and skilled nursing services.
2001
Country Villa was chosen as temporary manager of the Veterans Home of California, Barstow, by request of Interim Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Bruce Thiesen, to the state Department of Health Services, which has regulatory oversight of licensed health care facilities.
2002
Country Villa Oxnard was recognized by the Department of Health Services as one of the top Facilities for patient care.
2003
Country Villa adds 13 facilities in the San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange, San Diego and Los Angeles Counties.
2007
Country Villa expands with 14 facilities in both Central and Northern California.
2008
Country Villa establishes a presence in the city of Pomona.
